The daily stressors of life wear away at your energy and spirit, creating tension in the body that keeps you from feeling like your best self. The Mahana seasonal treatment is designed to relax the body and mind, soothing away stress and restore a sense of peace and wellbeing.
Inspired by the Polynesian practice of Taurumi massage, a spiritual and therapeutic practice inherited from the Polynesian ancestors. It reconnects the mind, body, and spirit to the influences of nature. Relax and reflect while enjoying signature high touch care including a regenerative scalp massage, hand and foot massage, all paired with Yon-Ka’s aromatic essential oil blend featuring botanicals found throughout the South Pacific.
The Mahana seasonal treatment is a unique and relaxing experience that combines specific massage techniques with Yon-Ka signature products and practices culturally inspired by French Polynesia. Mahana, the Tahitian word for sun, is the spotlight of this treatment which includes a star-shaped massage of the head, scalp, and extremities. Additionally, the regenerative scalp techniques and their placements mimic the rays of the sun emanating outward from the vertex of the cranium. All scalp massage movements conclude at the vertex which rebalance the energies of mind, body and soul.
This treatment is recommended for men and women of all ages, particularly those who are stressed or lack energy. Using a combination of smoothing, stretching, and rocking techniques to deeply relax the body and mind, the Mahana seasonal treatment is inspired by Taurumi and addresses the entire body by relieving tension and mild pain, enabling the guest to experience total surrender. The Mahana seasonal treatment is available as a stand-alone treatment, or it can be added to expand a complimentary facial treatment. When a 60’ more comprehensive experience is preferred, it blends perfectly with Yon-Ka’s 30’ Escale Beaute micro facial.
The Mahana seasonal treatment is ideal for chasing away stress and brings a feeling of well-being and escape through the senses to distant Polynesian islands. It begins with the laying of hands at the head and finishes with Yon-Ka’s Signature Conclusion to awaken both body and senses.
